ABOUT

Adam Lamoureux is a Canadian-born tenor saxophonist, composer, and bandleader based in New York City. Described by WKCR Radio as "one of the brightest young voices on the tenor saxophone," Adam has performed at some of the world's most celebrated stages, including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Jazz Gallery, Birdland, Stanford University, and Kuumbwa Jazz Center, collaborating with GRAMMY® winning and internationally acclaimed artists including John Benitez, Marc Cary, Ingrid Jensen, and E.J. Strickland.

Adam is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music and his artistry has been recognized through prestigious programs such as the 2024 Betty Carter Jazz Ahead Program at the Kennedy Center, directed by Jason Moran, and the 2022 Jazz Aspen Snowmass Academy, as well as honors including a 2023 DownBeat Student Award for his work with Miguel Zenón, the 2019 Rico Golden Reed Award, and a prize winner in the Under 25 category of the 7 Virtual Jazz Competition.

In addition to performing, Adam is an accomplished film composer whose scores have been heard on Amazon Prime, screened at the New York Short Film Festival and featured alongside OSCAR® winner Whoopi Goldberg in the documentary John Johnson Reporting.

As a bandleader, Adam leads a quartet performing his original compositions, noted for their energy, lyricism, and emotional resonance. Adam appeared as a featured artist as part of the 2025 Nomad Jazz Festival and is currently preparing to record and release his debut album.
