FILM COMPOSITION

"A measured, attentive approach that reflects a composer deeply engaged with the role music plays inside a story."

Adam Lamoureux is a New York City-based film composer who has composed original scores for multiple award-winning feature and short films. His credits include the Telly Award-winning documentary John Johnson Reporting featuring Academy Award® winner Whoopi Goldberg, the 2024 New York Short Film Festival selection The Other Christmas, and scores heard on major streaming platforms including Prime Video.

Adam perceives music's role in film as a character, one that shapes story, reflecting its identity in sound, melody and rhythm. Through empathy and a deep understanding of a film, its characters, and emotional world, he curates a refined musical language unique to the story. What results is a sonic world parallel to and in conversation with what's on screen, with the goal of giving the film its fullest emotional resonance.
