Adam Lamoureux is a New York City-based film composer who has composed original scores for multiple award-winning feature and short films. His credits include the Telly Award-winning documentary John Johnson Reporting featuring Academy Award® winner Whoopi Goldberg, the 2024 New York Short Film Festival selection The Other Christmas, and scores heard on major streaming platforms including Prime Video.
Adam perceives music's role in film as a character, one that shapes story, reflecting its identity in sound, melody and rhythm. Through empathy and understanding of a film, its characters, and its emotional world, he builds a language unique to the story, drawing freely across genres and sound palettes to find the film's musical voice. The result is a sonic world in conversation with what's on screen, striving to give the film its fullest emotional resonance.
